Percleancid leads to rupture of the cell wall by oxidizing sulfur bonds in proteins, enzymes and other metabolites and disruption of cell membrane activity. Also, this disinfectant contains high concentration of acetic acid which has capability of Protein degradation and them killing bacteria fungal spores and virus capsids. It is important to note that due to presence of catalase enzymes, in some microorganism, disinfecting effect may be neutralized. However, current product affected or deactivated by this factor it. Unlike other disinfectants such as quaternary ammonium, Percleancid will not cause antibiotic resistance in bacteria.
